Angela’s Story

My Journey Towards Healing
My purpose in telling you a longer version of my story is to help you understand how my life’s journey may be relevant to yours. In understanding that it’s possible to learn to soothe yourself of suffering.

I believe that honesty is the pathway to love and acceptance. As long as we hide who we truly are, we can’t fully love ourselves or heal from the traumas we’ve endured. I’m here to show you that self-love has the power to heal any affliction and help you find peace and contentment in your everyday life.

Early Challenges and Self-Discovery
I was raised in an Italian Catholic family in Pennsylvania, an experience that appeared typical from the outside but concealed dysfunction behind closed doors. I grappled with the conflict between who I knew I could be and the coping mechanisms my family life had imprinted on me. The cycle of dysfunction passed down through generations is something many people struggle with. I was determined to break free from it.

Battling depression, insomnia, and the weight of feeling responsible for others’ happiness, I found myself at odds with my own well-being. I became a scapegoat for misplaced pain and believed something must be fundamentally wrong with me. As a survivor of sexual assault, I also sought safety and approval in unhealthy relationships. Multiple physical setbacks and head injuries further complicated my journey.

Rediscovering My Path
After experiencing physical and emotional turmoil in my early life, I had a revelation. I discovered my ability to connect with people on a profound level, a natural space-holder emerged. I decided it was time to embrace my true nature and answer my calling to serve.

I pursued a career in the healing arts, obtaining national certification and a state license in massage therapy and bodywork. I also became a Certified Reiki Master. Over the years, I expanded my expertise in various healing modalities, both in sports medicine and energy medicine, helping clients find happiness and well-being.

The Transformative Accident
However, life had more lessons in store for me. In 2012, a car accident changed the course of my life. My car was struck at full speed, and I was left with a myriad of injuries, including a mild traumatic brain injury and a broken thumb. The accident forced me to reevaluate my life and led to my decision to prioritize my own well-being. I embarked on a journey of self-discovery, mindfulness, and deep healing.

I learned that self-acceptance and self-love are essential. It’s about embracing the new you, not comparing yourself to the past. Through this profound inner journey, I discovered the essence that exists within all of us, connecting us to the universe.

Becoming a Spiritual Life Coach
As I continued to learn about mindfulness and the deeper causes of pain and stress, I realized the importance of addressing the conditions that lead to our emotional struggles. This insight led me to a new path in my career: becoming a Certified Spiritual Life Coach. Along with my extensive training at the Divine Intelligence Institute and my background as a Reiki Master, I now blend massage, energy work, and spiritual life coaching to assist others in their healing journey. My intuitive skills have been enhanced by my life’s journey and my deep empathy for those in need.
